Volunteer at Habitat ReStore

The Habitat ReStore depends on enthusiastic volunteers for everything from helping customers to arranging merchandise. Whether you enjoy interacting with the public or prefer tinkering behind the scenes, chances are that we have a volunteer opportunity for you. Habitat for Humanity volunteers — both on construction sites and in Habitat ReStores — have helped more than 1 million families realize the dream of owning a simple, decent, affordable home. Join us in our mission to eliminate poverty housing in our community and the world by volunteering at the Habitat ReStore.

Possible Volunteer Opportunities

Donation processing

We need help accepting donations at our in-store donation drop-off area, providing receipts to donors, cleaning and pricing items.

If you like to make order out of chaos, we can use you on our sales floor. We need someone with a good eye and a bit of creativity that can help figure out the best way to display items for sale.

We are looking for people that are friendly, detail-oriented and willing to learn.

Social media

We need a talented person to help us maintain our presence on Facebook by posting pictures of merchandise and store events, updating our status with the latest and greatest news, and ultimately drawing more people into our store.

Furniture repair

We often get furniture in the store that is in need of minor repair. If you’d like to put your woodworking skills to good use, we’ll provide the tools and the furniture – you provide the expertise!

Our Habitat ReStore needs a facelift. This is the perfect project for a volunteer group of 10-15 people. The painting would be done when we are closed on Sunday and Monday.
